Jessica Lewis’s practice focuses primarily on the representation of debtors, creditors, and purchasers in corporate reorganizations and other bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters.  Mrs. Lewis began her career at Baker Botts L.L.P., where she worked on bankruptcy and litigation matters for a wide range of clients in varied businesses and industries.  Mrs. Lewis has represented debtors in complex chapter 11 cases, as well as creditors and other parties-in-interest in contested matters and adversary proceedings.  Mrs. Lewis has also analyzed and guided clients through the effects of bankruptcy on interests such as intellectual property, contractual, franchise, construction liens and other secured interests, and liability claims.

In addition to her experience in bankruptcy and insolvency-related matters, Mrs. Lewis has experience in handling litigation matters ranging from state-court litigation matters to internal risk analyses and investigation.  Just prior to joining the firm in 2016, Mrs. Lewis sharpened her skills in negotiation and case management during her two years working for a Dallas-based non-profit focused on bettering Dallas communities by representing residents of high-crime neighborhoods against owners of problem properties in civil litigation and probate-related matters
